ABOUT EGYPT
Egypt is a moderately sized country located in Northern Africa, bordered by both the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea. The Nile River runs through the country, and causes the country to not be totally desert. The country is commonly divided into two sections based off the river: Upper Egypt in the south, and Lower Egypt in the north, because the river flows from south to north. Most of the population lives along the Nile, as these are some of the only areas that are fertile. The capital of Egypt is Cairo (pictured above), which is also the largest city. The official language of Egypt is Arabic.
